Inspiration, of course, figuratively, as it boils down to attempts to stylistically refer to these blueprints in the form of shield details.
Closed under sapphire crystal, depending on the version, the dial is black (P-51 Mustang), navy blue (Vought F4U Corasir), green with white dials (Curtis P-40 Warhawk), black with white totalizers (de Haviland Mosquito) and dark gray with black dials (P-51 Mustang).
